Stan Lee, best known for his creation of numerous Marvel Comics characters and head of Marvel Comics, died today at the age of 95. Most recently, Marvel Comics have brought Mr. Lee’s characters to the movie screen, with such films as Spider-Man, X-Men, Black Panther, and the Incredible Hulk. The superhero film genre has grossed over $2.5 billion in box office revenue.
Stan Lee was inducted into the comic book industry’s Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1995. He received a National Medal of Arts in 2008. Here are some examples of Stan Lee’s work that you can find in our library.
