Join Scarlet Hughes as she struggles with the family-shattering realization that she is in love with her sister’s husband. Upon meeting the smart and handsome Hayden, Scarlet realizes that his poetry-writing, love-professing self is just what she needs. Unfortunately, Hayden does not return the sentiments.
Side stories include Scarlet’s relationship with her mother and sister, Juliet, as they deal with Juliet’s preganancy.
Caletti writes well, and effectively captures the trouble and turmoil going on in Scarlet’s mind. However, I was very put off by the sheer number of side stories, which I found too numerous. Also, I felt that some of them contributed little to the plot.
Otherwise, a very engaging read!
